As mature servants, Bellevue’s Adult 80s+ Life Groups love God, love our church, love people, and love to serve. They are committed to encouraging and affirming continued growth in wisdom and in faith, while also making available opportunities for fellowship and service to the congregation and to the community. They also provide loving support and assistance during times of need and change in the lives of older adults and their families.

Couples & Singles
The Truth Seekers Life Group is a caring group of married and single senior adults. The teaching style is multi-faceted with media and lecture of life application of Bible exposition with spirited discussion.
Virg Stoneking is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, former college professor and senior pastor, and retired national sales manager. Virg and his wife Cel have been married 53 years and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
The Living Word Life Group is a group of caring, loving, serving senior adults. Teaching lecture style with lots of discussions, Ron teaches through each book of the Bible.
Ron has been married 45+ years and has one adult son and one adult daughter and seven grandchildren. Ron serves in Bellevue’s Pastoral Care Ministry and leads the evening GriefShare class.
The Bereans Life Group with Ed Williams, retired attorney, and Ed Jones, retired naval aviator, as co-teachers utilizes Lifeway‘s Explore the Bible quarterly study guide. Their lecture method of teaching is utilized with discussion participation by class members.
The Friendship Life Group is led by master teacher Lois Peeples using the platform of Lifeway’s Explore the Bible. This class is built on love for others and love of the Word. Lois organized this class in April 1976 and has been faithfully teaching and leading the ladies in the Word and in their walk with the Lord. Her greatest love is teaching the Bible and witnessing. She has two adult children and two grandchildren.
The Rogers Life Group is a small group of retired men who enjoy the fellowship of gathering in a circle to discuss the Scripture and praying together. Don is teaching through the Bible using Union Gospel Press quarterlies. Don is a deacon and retired military. He has four adult daughters and five grandchildren.

Couples and Singles
The King’s Family Life Group is a group of married, widow/widowers, single adult. Most are retired or nearing retirement. Lessons are taught lecture-style with class discussion using LifeWay’s The Gospel Project. Don has been teaching 20+ years.
Don and his wife Janis have been married since 2010 and each have adult children from their first marriages. Don is a Bellevue deacon, is retired from the commercial construction industry, and owns Vision Synthetics.
The Dorcas Life Group is a group of married, widowed, single senior adult ladies. Lessons are taught lecture-style with discussion as Gayle teaches through books of the Bible. Gayle and her husband Jim have been married for 50+ years and have two adult children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She has taught the Dorcas class for 20+ years and is a retired school teacher.
The Truth Life Group is a close-knit group of caring, loving ladies who minister to each other throughout the week. Teaching lecture style with discussion, Babs teaches from Lifeway’s Explore the Bible series.
Babs is a retired school teacher. She and her husband Bob have been married 50+ years and have served in various ministries at Bellevue including Prayer Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Homebound Ministry, and Baptismal Committee.
The Living Hope Life Group is a group of loving, caring, praying senior adult ladies. Teaching lecture style with some discussion, Sharon uses LifeWay’s Bible Studies for Life series.
Sharon and her husband Walt have been married 35+ years and have two adult daughters.
Mark Alan Vinson
The Yokefellow Life Group was originally formed in 1920 and has a proud history at Bellevue. It is now a small class of retired and working men. Teaching in lecture style, Mark Alan is taking the men through the Bible using LifeWay’s Explore the Bible series. They start the class with prayers and singing hymns from the hymnal. Mark Alan and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 20+ years. He is a professor of English at Northwest Mississippi College.
