The Bible is a single, unified story. It can be easy to forget this since the Bible is made up of 66 books, 1,189 chapters, and 783,137 verses. These divisions, which are helpful reference points, can accidentally trick us into seeing the Bible as a collection of loosely related stories.
I was recently reading a study by LifeWay Research about the religious beliefs of Americans. The findings were troubling to me but not surprising. The overall findings of the study are that religious beliefs are a matter of personal opinion, not objective facts—54% of people studied believe this.

It can be easy to take some of the most important things in life for granted. From the air we breathe to the force of gravity holding us to Earth, there’s much we assume or ignore. But surely, if we suddenly had no oxygen or started floating away from Earth, we’d once again realize our need for those things.
I have heard from many atheists that religion, or more specifically Christianity, is anti-science or incompatible with science. Once you look at the weight of evidence studies provide, you actually discover that this statement is more philosophical than scientific.
