Director, Next Steps


Major Duties:

Provide direction and leadership to Guest Services volunteers

Assist with Next Steps classes

Assist the Member Development Ministry as needed with various projects and perform other duties as assigned

Administrative Duties:

Guest Services (weekly)

Direct the College Ministry Leader initiative

  • Leading and coordinate with the 3–4 leaders from College ministry and their teams
  • Integrate the College ministry volunteers with the current volunteer teams on Sunday morning events

Coordinate Guest Services volunteers: Guest Parking, Traffic, Valet, Exterior Door Greeters, Welcome Centers, Worship Center Door Greeters, and Connect Central

  • Work with volunteer leaders by informing of big events; email reminders, ordering name badges for volunteers, make necessary roster changes
  • Assist in recruiting volunteers
  • Attend and prepare for major events requiring Guest Services volunteers
  • Prepare for Sunday mornings

Sunday Responsibilities

  • Connect with and assist volunteers
  • Manage check-in for volunteers
  • Oversee the Guest Services Hub
  • Attend and assist with Next Steps classes

Assist in delegating specific tasks to Ministerial Assistants as needed

Provide support to the Next Steps classes (monthly)

  • Follow-up with/connect class participants with other ministries based on their interests
  • Assist in preparation for Next Steps classes
  • Assist in delegating specific tasks to Ministerial Assistants as needed


Church Specifications: Active Bellevue Membership Required

Specific Experience Required: Data entry, Excel, Word, Touchpoint

Specific Skills Required (Read/Write/Math/DecisionMaker/Interpersonal/Organization/Planning/Memory): Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office suite or products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to balance numerous priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining utmost professionalism and servant spirit. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a positive contributor to team efforts, including follow-up/follow through, organization, and prioritization. Strong attention to detail. A proven history of success and habit of excellence.
