Live Production Associate

Tasks

Major Duties:

  • Event pre-production
  • Event post-production
  • Direct video for live events (KidVue, The Vue, etc.)
  • Maintain video systems
  • Various crew roles as needed for live and studio/field production

Specific Tasks:

  • Setup for video support for worship and other live events
  • Prepare graphics and presentations for worship and other live events
  • Project setup for editorial of live events
  • Edit on-demand content for worship and other live events (The Vue, Bellevue Women, etc.)
  • Prepare broadcast edit and delivery
  • Clean control room, cameras and equipment
  • Assist in footage archive and retrieval
  • Run camera, teleprompter, audio, and other needed positions on studio/location crew
  • Various live production positions as needed

Requirements

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Media Technology or equivalent degree or 2-3 years of experience in a related field.

Certificate/License Required:  

None

Specific Experience Required:  

  • Thorough understanding of live event support techniques and trends
  • Understand pre, production, and post techniques and practices
  • Experience editing event content
  • Experience on shoot crews in various roles
  • Experience directing cameras
  • Live-production experience in camera and control room settings

Specific Skills Required:

  • Understanding of the concept and production process
  • Ability to communicate high-level concepts in a concise manner
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent grammar and spelling
  • Ability to proof quickly
  • Works well with others and able to collaborate effectively

Days/Hours:

Typically Sunday–Thursday, however often expected to work late and weekends as needed, especially during peak seasons, big initiatives, and productions.

Compensation Plan:

Salary. Exempt.

May work with heavy and sensitive equipment, including gear requiring counter-balance and proper securing and support. Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Working Conditions (Temp./Inside/Outside/Height/Damp.):  

Mostly standard office conditions, however, will vary with each day, as shoots may often take place outside, and conditions will flex as the season and weather dictate. Work will involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
