The purpose of the job is to provide administrative support and phone assistance for all areas of the Music Ministry primarily from a stationary position at a desk. Moderate supervision is needed. Additional responsibilities are usually added during major productions. The employee will be the first person that people see when they visit the Music office; therefore, this job requires a friendly disposition as well as discernment to determine the kind of help needed for each request.
Days/Hours:
This position involves 25–29 hours per week. The schedule will be worked out according to the needs of the Music Ministry. Extra hours will be required during productions.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, dynamic work environment that involves significant contact with people both inside and outside the department. Most of the work will be performed at the desk. This is primarily a stationary position except during productions.
Education Required:
High School Diploma required or in active process of meeting this requirement.
Specific Experience Required:
Experience in office administrative support preferred. Computer skills: must be moderately proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Publisher. Ability to read and understand music and musical notation preferred.
Specific Skills Required:
Must have an eye for detail and be able to consistently produce quality work with minimal errors. Must be able to take direction from others and work well with others in a team and office atmosphere.
Other Requirements:
Current, active membership at Bellevue required.
Physical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb a ladder, push a materials cart short distances, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
