Online Director

Bellevue Baptist Church’s Media department is looking for an Online Director to lead and mentor the online team and oversee the execution of social media, website, and YouTube content. The ideal candidate has experience leading each of the content areas with a strong background in UX and online marketing, has a demonstrated history of strong leadership qualities, has experience defending brand guidelines, and is invested in the church's life.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the online team.
  • Oversee execution of social media, website, and YouTube content.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Bellevue’s strategic use of social media, website, and YouTube.
  • Serve as a lead Bellevue Brand advocate.
  • Serve as a lead advocate to support Bellevue’s vision, mission, and values specifically within online media.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Tasks

  • Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of workflow, including but not limited to, task structure, assignment, content direction, proofing, file sharing, and placement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to road-mapping future development in all areas supported by the Online team.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-training within the assigned team.
  • Develop and manage assigned 3rd party vendor relationship to ensure quality, best price, effective production times, and an effective bid process.



Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent degree and/or 5–7 years of experience in a related field.




  • Experience in online marketing
  • Experience training and developing marketing professionals


  • Ability to lead and mentor
  • Understanding of social media marketing, web marketing, and YouTube marketing
  • Ability to communicate high-level concepts in a concise manner
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Works well with others and able to collaborate effectively
  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Physical Abilities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
