Recording Producer

Major Duties:

• Oversee and maintain the Bellevue Studio
• Serve as audio engineer for worship services
• Remix audio for worship services
• Produce and mix music for Kidvue and other ministries
• Provide Engineering support for major projects such as Singing Christmas tree
• Work alongside technical director to design and install system upgrades

Specific Tasks:  

• Maintain cleanliness in studio
• Provide a weekly remix of all worship, and of specific worship song selects
• Mix monitors, front of house, and broadcast worship consoles
• Setup studio for recording projects
• Produce and record songs and tracks
• Mix and master live audio tracks from productions

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in audio/video production or equivalent degree, and/or 3-5 years experience in a related field.

Certificate/License Required:  

None

Specific Experience Required:  

• Experience in setting up and recording in a studio environment
• Post-production mixing and mastering
• Tuning vocals using Melodyne
• Producing music of different genres  

Specific Skills Required:  

• Understand the edit process, and how acquisition impacts post.
• Ability to work with a songwriter to produce and record
• Well versed in audio formats, mixing and mastering techniques.
• Organized and deadline driven
• Proficient in Pro Tools and other DAWs

Days/Hours:

Typically, Sunday through Thursday, however often expected to work late and weekends as production needs dictate. Especially during peak seasons, and during big productions like The Singing Christmas Tree and CampOutrageous.

Compensation Plan:  (Exempt or Non-Exempt)

Salary. Exempt.

Safety/Ergonomic Issues:  

Often work with heavy equipment, climbing ladders, etc.  Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to work from heights, lifts, and ladders with hot lights and sensitive equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Working Conditions:  

Will vary with each day, as shoots will often take place outside, and conditions will flex as the season and weather dictate. Work will involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
