Pray for Summer Ministry Assistants

May 19, 2024

All Day

Each summer Bellevue brings in a team of Ministerial Assistants (MAs) to work for the church. Some MAs serve 12–13 weeks in the summer, some serve a year-long term, and some serve year-round with no defined end date. These students come from a range of colleges and serve in many ministries across our church.

Please join us in praying for the new group of MAs who are coming to Bellevue this May!

You can use the following prayer points as a guide:

– As a fresh group of MAs arrives, there is a lot of new—a new place, new faces, and new routines. Pray that in the midst of all the transitions, they will be filled with “the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension” (Philippians 4:7).

– Some MAs will be stepping into familiar roles, and others will be taking on new responsibilities. Pray that all MAs will come into their jobs with confidence and devotion.

– This group of MAs has many talents, passions, and skills. Pray that each person will “set [their] mind on the things above” (Colossians 3:2) and use their abilities to advance God’s work and His kingdom.

– Pray that each MA’s time at Bellevue will be enjoyable and satisfying, and pray also that each MA will be focused, be diligent, and “work heartily, as for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23).

– Pray for the MAs to have a strong sense of community during their time at Bellevue, that they will form fruitful relationships with each other, staff members, and church members.

– Some MAs may be far from home, family, and what is familiar to them. Pray that feelings of homesickness and loneliness will be momentary and that when those feelings come, MAs will be reminded of their true “dwelling place” (Psalm 91:9).

– Pray that MAs will be open to learn and that during their time at Bellevue they will “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
