Housekeeper – Bellevue Woods

Daily

• Performs routine cleaning per housekeeping standards, such as emptying trash, dusting, cleaning walls and woodwork, vacuuming carpet, cleaning chairs, straightening rooms, washing laundry for the model, guest suite, and VIP units, cleaning and disinfecting restroom facilities, cleaning mirrors and windows, and mopping floors
• Keeps daily inventory of all housekeeping supplies and makes needs known to the Manager
• Makes known to the Manager any physical or aesthetic problems recognized. Assists residents with special needs

Weekly

Discusses upcoming events and performs weekly cleaning of all common areas

Monthly

Performs standby duties to handle emergency cleanups

Special Events

Performs cleanup and building turnaround during property-wide special activities

Specific Skills

Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to read written instructions in English. This individual must have the ability to analyze different situations and foresee future issues. They must demonstrate the ability to solve problems quickly and decisively. They must be able to demonstrate warmth, affection, and interest in helping others.

Education

A high school diploma or GED preferred

Specific Experience

Previous housekeeping experience preferred

This job takes place in an apartment community and office

Physical Abilities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The position requires almost constant walking, standing, bending, and climbing. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. There is some lifting required, usually less than 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are mostly indoors in a carpeted and temperature-controlled environment. The facility is well-lit. Rarely, the individual will check outside windows and trash. For these outside tasks, the individual will be provided with a jacket, if needed.
