Print Shop Technician
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fulfill assigned print tasks.
- Fulfill assigned print final finishing (i.e., folding, cutting, stapling, and binding).
- Distribute prints.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of Print Shop equipment.
- Assist with the pickup, sorting, and delivery of mail from USPS and similar vendors.
- Assist with the maintenance of Print Shop supplies.
- Assist ministries with Print Shop assigned supplies (e.g., copy paper, envelopes) upon request.
- Assist with record keeping and reporting as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Tasks:
- Determine best mode of printing to provide optimum quality considering efficiencies and deadlines.
- Determine best mode of print finishing to provide optimum quality considering efficiencies and deadlines.
- Oversee the preparation and assembly of print jobs by volunteers or others when applicable.
- Coordinate the distribution of assigned printed jobs.
- Manage interoffice mail.

Co-Workers of This Position:
The employee will work directly with all Media Ministry staff members daily and will frequently interact with other staff members churchwide.
Days and Hours:
General schedule is Monday–Friday

Compensation Plan:
Part Time, Nonexempt

Safety and Ergonomic Issues:
Requires moving large, heavy boxes of paper and using a paper cutter, a folding machine, and other machines that could pose hazards to hands and eyes.

Education Required:
High School Diploma required. Higher level of education preferred.

Specific Experience Required:
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Physical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Mostly standard room conditions (70 degrees). Work can involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, or loud noises.
