School of Performing Arts

Drama Class

What time will the class meet?

Thursdays 3:40–5:00 pm (6th–12th Grade)

The class will meet for 15 weeks in the Fall semester and 15 weeks in the Spring semester.

What do students learn in this class?

The drama class is designed to equip students with oratory and acting skills. The class is not designed to produce a production, but rather to dive deep into skills such as character portrayal, conveying emotion, speaking confidently and convincingly, interacting with other actors/actresses, scene blocking, improvisation, and much more. They will design small scenes together in class and possibly perform a scene for parents at the end of the semester. For questions about the class, please contact the SPA office.

Who can participate in the Drama class?

It is open to students in 7th–12th grades who are interested in developing or growing theatre skills.
