Chapter 8 - What God Didn't Do

Cognitive bias

Reframing your past

God sovereignly shifts our lives

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," declares the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9 (NASB)

Chapter 9 - Collateral Goodness

Stop expecting "collateral damage" from God.

Start expecting "collateral goodness" from God.

What you look for is what you'll find!

Look for God's goodness and be grateful!

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 (ESV)

Preframe your future.

You can't control what happens to you, but you can control how you frame it. And the way you frame it will dictate how you respond and behave. ("Winning the War in Your Mind," p. 147)
