FAQ

Can I bring my child's baby bag or backpack?
  • Please limit your child’s personal belongings. For younger children, please use a new gallon size Ziplock bag as a diaper bag. We will provide an additional label at check in for your child’s bag.
  • Children using a bottle or sippy cup may have a second Ziploc bag with written instructions for the classroom leader.
Questions about salvation/baptism

Many children ask questions related to their personal salvation experience long before they are ready to become a Christian. The questioning process may begin years before the child is ready to proceed with a decision to follow Jesus as his/her personal Lord and Savior. When your child asks questions, please do your best to answer him/her as honestly as possible. Remember, you are developing his/her understanding and aiding in the spiritual maturing process. Here are a few sample questions:

  • How can I get baptized?
  • What does it mean to be a Christian?
  • When can I get baptized?
  • What is sin?
  • Why did Jesus have to die on the cross?

As you answer these and other related questions, it is a good idea to point out verses in the Bible and allow your child to read them. This will help the child by remembering what the Bible says.

Scheduling a baptism

If your child has made a salvation decision and would like to be baptized, our Children’s Ministry team would like to connect with you. We schedule baptisms during most Worship services. Please call 901-347-5763 for more details.

What are the service times for childcare?

Worship Care opens 15 minutes prior to the start time for each Worship Service:

  • Sundays at 9:15 and 11 am

Worship Care closes 15 minutes after the closing prayer or conclusion of each Worship Service.

What safety protocols can I expect?
  • Families are asked to use social distancing throughout the facility.
  • Hand sanitizer will be located at the entrances of our Children’s areas.
  • Staff and children will be required to wash their hands (or use sanitizer) upon arriving in the classroom.
  • Classroom capacity will be reduced and the indoor playground will be closed.
  • Indoor playground is open for Younger Preschool class use.
  • Greeters and other check-in staff will wear masks. Classroom teachers will not be required to wear masks.
  • Teachers of infants will wear smocks to provide a clean fabric between the baby and teacher’s clothing.
  • Teachers will use gloves when diapering. Changing tables will be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
  • Teachers will use sanitizing wipes periodically during the class and after class to clean surfaces and toys that have been handled.
