For Angela Bolden, faith has never just been a belief—it’s been a lifeline. She has clung tightly to God and His Word through the many trials she’s endured, but her journey through the Chronological Bible has brought new transformation to her life. It’s not only enhanced her view of Scripture but has woven God’s truth deeper into every corner of her remarkable life story.
Angela first heard about the Chronological Bible plan when Bro. Steve introduced it during a Sunday service. From that moment, she knew she wanted to be part of it. Despite not being able to physically attend Bellevue due to intractable epilepsy—a condition that restricts her from driving—Angela has found community and purpose through Bellevue’s online ministry.
“This study has helped me connect the dots,” Angela said. “I’ve always read Scriptures like ‘Be not discouraged’ and ‘I go before you’ as standalone promises. But reading chronologically, I now see how God repeats these truths over and over throughout history because we need to hear them—again and again.”
Angela’s life is living proof of that persistent reassurance. She has endured a lot more than many people know—from surviving a ruptured cerebral aneurysm at age 28 and living with frequent seizures to experiencing deep heartbreak and trauma. Yet through it all she’s never wavered in her faith.
“People ask how I haven’t been angry at God,” Angela said. “But how can I be angry at the One who’s carried me through it all? Even in the darkest moments, I’ve felt His presence.”
That unwavering faith hasn’t just sustained Angela—it’s inspired those around her. What has made the Chronological Bible journey even more meaningful to Angela is seeing how it has impacted her 77-year-old father. He once had very little Bible literacy, but now he joins Angela and her mother daily as they read the Chronological Bible. Their conversations have become a sacred space for growth, encouragement, and transformation.
“I’ve watched my daddy’s understanding of Scripture deepen week after week,” Angela said. “God’s using this study to prepare him and me for whatever lies ahead. I cherish these mornings we spend together discussing what we’ve read.”
Angela’s story is a testament to the power of God’s Word—how it brings light to weary places and stitches hope into brokenness. And through the Chronological Bible, she’s seen how God’s promises span generations, how He shows up in the waiting, and how the scarlet thread of redemption ties every story—hers included—into His greater plan.
“Reading through the Bible this way has made it come alive,” Angela said. “It’s not just words on a page anymore. It’s my story. It’s God’s story. And it’s beautiful.”
