Major Duties:
- Maintain database integrity, particularly concerning new people records.
- Assist in the TouchPoint portion of training and onboarding new staff.
- Assist the Church Data Minister in providing ongoing TouchPoint support to staff in the form of troubleshooting and technical advice.
Specific Tasks:
- Follow up every new person task that is generated when a staff member creates a new people record.
- Run daily and weekly searches for records that are added during check-in or an online registration and perform the same tasks for those records as for the ones created by staff members.
- Vet the new records by searching for duplicates or possible family members; make certain the data is in the correct format and then update the status.
- Review the duplicate find results, perform the first part of the merge, and send the links to the Church Data Minister, who will perform the final part of the process to completely merge the records and delete the duplicate.
- Answer calls from church members and staff members regarding TouchPoint, forwarding any needs to the Church Data Minister.
- Be available to help answer questions regarding TouchPoint from staff and laity.
- Make changes of address or family member status when notified.
- Monitor the emails that alert to changes made by MyData users, and then make any necessary corrections.
Days and Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:15 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Specific Experience Required:
Minimum of two years working in an office support or teaching environment
Specific Skills Required:
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to quickly learn new processes
- Natural critical and logical thinking
- Ability to read and follow TouchPoint documentation and become increasingly familiar with its scope
Physical Abilities:
The employee must be able to sit at a computer and enter data for several hours a day, viewing a monitor for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
