Navigating Change Well

Three Questions to Ask when Managing Change

1st Question: Why am I doing this? Will you lead for God’s glory or for your own glory? The answer to this question will influence every action you take. It will lead you to be humble or arrogant (Deut. 6:4-8).

2nd Question: What’s Going on Here? Understand the reality of where you are. Is the ministry broken or thriving or in maintenance mode? Did the previous person get fired or promoted or leave for a better position? Are the volunteers power-hungry or supportive or indifferent?

SWOT Analysis: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. Get to know the people and let them get to know you.

3rd Question: Where are we going? Determine your top priorities. Where are you taking the ministry? Determine your plan. Figure out how you want to get there. Write it out, step by step.
