Please pray for my older brother's strength and health. He is in his 70s and is helping his eldest son, in his 50s, purchase a replacement vehicle after it was totaled in a collision. My brother gets up around 3 a.m. to take his son to and pick him up from various jobs far from his suburban home in southeast Texas, driving through relentlessly heavy traffic, sacrificing his personal rest and safety to help his son. He has expressed weariness and mentioned a couple of close calls while driving his son, averaging about a hundred miles back and forth from his home to his son's various jobs across the metropolitan area. Please pray that God will keep my brother alert and safe, that my nephew will show gratitude for the sacrifice his father is making to help him, and that my nephew will repay my brother if he decides to co-sign for his replacement vehicle. Also, pray that my nephew honors his promise to his younger brother to continue making payments on his share of the totaled vehicle that his younger brother co-signed for. Sadly, my oldest nephew has struggled with personal responsibility most of his adult life, and I pray that he will fully turn his life to Jesus Christ for salvation and redemption from sin, becoming more responsible by trusting Jesus to overcome prideful attitudes and spiritual strongholds of selfishness and self-righteousness instead of avoiding personal responsibility. He has also stolen from his father and cannot be trusted in his father's house. Having my nephew at his house worsens my brother's situation because he doesn't feel he can fully rest with his oldest son staying with him, so he doesn't want to drive a longer distance to pick up his son, who normally lives with his mom in another town. Thank you for your prayers.
