Through Bellevue Missions, we hope to equip our members to engage in the Missionary Task. One component of the Missionary Task is healthy church formation. God has uniquely gifted our church with the skills, knowledge, and resources to partner with other churches in Memphis. During our Bellevue Loves Memphis Workday in March, 32 people prayed to receive Christ at the Miracle of Redemption Food Distribution project.
In response to this incredible move of God, we wanted to come alongside Pastor Ronnie Johnson and offer direction to new believers as they begin their spiritual journey. On May 1, we partnered with Miracle of Redemption Church to host a new believer’s class. For the first time in Bellevue Loves Memphis history, 10 volunteers from Bellevue and Miracle of Redemption met with and discipled 15 participants; we pray this is just the beginning!
We spent two hours teaching through Bro. Steve’s “Now that You’re Saved” booklet. The booklet covers 10 basic biblical truths a new believer needs to know, so they can begin growing in their faith.
Mature Christians strengthen their church, and if we can be a part of helping new believers mature, then we are fulfilling our vision to be a catalyst for spiritual awakening in Memphis and beyond. Each time we partner with another church in Memphis, we learn from one another how to best serve our city; both churches are strengthened, and we can show Memphis the love we have for one another. Since March, 10 families joined Miracle of Redemption Church! Please pray these new members grow in their faith and service to the Lord!
