Prayer

Thank you for your commitment to pray for 30 minutes on the third day of each month!  It all begins with prayer.  The following items will help you pray fervently like it matters.

A DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

A DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

The Third Day of Each Month

As a church, we are setting aside the third day of every month in 2020 as a day of prayer and fasting. We are asking you to commit to pray for 30 minutes on that day, and as the Lord leads you, to also fast. Whether you fast from one meal or for the entire day, please seek God’s presence and power during this time. Please sign up online to pray in your home or in Bellevue’s Prayer Room (open 5:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.). You can also sign up using a Prayer Commitment Card at the Information Center in the West Lobby.

First, let us give the Lord thanks for the abundance of all things. Please pray that the Lord would deliver His people from evil men; that the Lord would preserve His people from violent men who plan evil things in their hearts and stir up wars continually. Pray against the spirit of anti-Christ, false witness, terrorism, leviathan, Jezebel, witchcraft, hatred, divination and violence. Pray for world-wide repentance that people would turn to God, so that He will forgive their sins. Please pray and intercede without ceasing that God's Will be done in the lives of the world's leaders and for our leaders to seek God and listen to Him.

Please pray for my mother, Darlene. She will be having a new CT scan to check her kidneys to see if there is a blockage. She also sees the oncologist Friday; the oral chemotherapy has been hard on her kidneys. Please pray for all tests to be benign and to keep her heart in normal rhythm and blood pressure in control.

I'm broken mentally, emotionally, and physically. I have my two children plus grandmother who is disabled. I walk 12 miles each day to check on Granny; my children are tired. I can't afford bus fare to continue to take the children to school and they're in jeopardy of truancy because lack of transportation. It feels like I'm in bondage and can't get out. People tell me what I need to do but how can you build anything when you are handed a spoon. We walk everywhere we need to go. Sometimes I wish I could get a break.

Please pray for me. This parent at my child's school is putting false charges on me. Please pray for my daughter; she has odd behavior. She thinks the girls at her school, her friends, are bullying her, that they are trying to kick her out of Snowden. Pray we get this house next week. Pray my daughter and I have a good relationship. I want to have a good relationship with all of my four girls. Pray my 6-year-old doesn’t follow my 13-year-old's behavior. I’m bipolar; I don’t want my kids to be like me. I want to have a good job once this fake charge gets off me.

Luke S. has a brain tumor that in the powerful name of Jesus needs to go! We ask for prayerful consideration to lift up Luke. This college student got very sick quickly. He was sent by Life Flight to the best hospital for his care. He will be having brain surgery to remove the tumor. It's in an important area of his brain--speech and right side movement. The surgery itself will probably take 8-10 hours. The medical expenses will be a significant burden to this young adult and his family and we ask for prayers of provision. Pray for the doctors who are doing the surgery.

Please pray for me to be the wife, mother, and grandmother God wants me to be. I feel so incapable and unworthy. I am lonely and scared. I am having trouble believing and depending on the Lord to deal with my hurt and circumstances that are beyond my control.

I've slowly watched myself spiral farther into depression. Pray for my strength and motivation to rise above whatever has a hold on me. Pray that something good comes my way.
