Literacy Tutoring

Strengthening foundational skills in phonics, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as older students who need extra support.

Using a structured, multi-sensory approach grounded in the science of reading, instruction is individualized to meet each child exactly where they are. Lessons are explicit, sequential, and engaging, focusing on the foundational skills many struggling readers need, including phonological awareness, phonics and decoding, spelling and writing, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and word study through prefixes, suffixes, and roots. 

Teaching is patient and encouraging, with clear, step–by–step instruction, hands–on activities, and consistent review to build confidence and mastery over time. The program serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as older students who need extra support with reading and spelling foundations.

Sessions are offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with limited after–school availability.

Families begin with a placement assessment to guide instruction, typically schedule two sessions per week, and receive regular progress updates. After each session, students are sent home with a short, manageable homework packet to reinforce learning and help parents support progress at home.
